ESPN - Grossman still Bears' starter? Tune in Wednesday - NFL

There is hope after all...

ESPN - Grossman still Bears' starter? Tune in Wednesday - NFL

I know I will be glued to ESPN and Fox Sports on Wednesday to anxiously await the news that will have a major impact on my attitude for the next several months.

Let's all hope that whatever Lovie decides will prove to be beneficial to "the cause."
I am sure it will be. I have a ton of faith in Coach Smith. I think he is a phenomenal human being.
The interview linked above demonstrates that.

MySpace Updated

Maxine update myspace today.

I haven't seen it yet BUT I am sure it is awesome.

The Pot Calling the Kettle Black...

Ahh, Barry Bonds....
I have never blogged about Bonds before. I could not possibly care any less about baseball.
However, I read this article:

FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Bonds on No. 756 owner: 'He's an idiot'

Well, part of it anyways, and couldn't help but see the irony. For Bonds to call anyone an idiot would be like Michael Jackson calling someone a pedophile.

Update on Ubuntu....

Since setting my primary PC to dual boot using Ubuntu, I have fallen so in love with the idea that I installed it as the primary (and only) OS on my laptop. Which, incidentally, is what I am typing this blog entry on.

There really is no perceivable difference to the "average" user. Sure the buttons are in different places but thats really no bid deal. With the new installer packages that people have created, anyone can get the OS up and running.
I have to leave Windows on my primary PC so the family can still play games but other than that there doesn't really seem to be a downside. (This is where all the techies chime in with stuff that goes over my head)

Hmm. I can surf the internet, write this blog, read email, watch videos, listen to music, do my work (using open office, which is also free)...what am I missing?

Go Bears???

Yesterday was rough.
The Bears played the Chargers and lost.

No, I am not delusional enough to be suprised by it.
Yes, it was a good game for the most part.

All in all, Rex Grossman didn't stink it up. One interception that wasn't a bad throw. One seemingly random dropping of the football.
The real story comes at running back. People want to question the decision of the Bears picking Cedric Benson over Thomas Jones. Although Benson had a fumble yesterday and did not put up big numbers he also made a couple of great runs at crucial moments in the game. (But did I mention that he fumbled? Not good for a running back)
Adrian Peterson, no, not the one that plays for Minnesota, also fumbled once while spelling Benson. Hmm, both Bears running backs fumbling during the same game....is this going to be a problem? (Let's hope not)

The defense was amazing. LT was contained. All of the Charger points resulted from Bears turnovers. There is much to look forward to. The Bears played one of the elite teams and looked good.

Keep it up, boys!!!

Wubi - The Easiest Way to Linux

It sounded so good I have to try it.

Wubi - The Easiest Way to Linux

I will let you know how it goes.
If nothing else, it will be a good opportunity to appease my inner-geek.

I guess anything that people do to bring the open source world to the masses should be celebrated!
